How to Schedule a Pickup 

Online shipment booking and tracking via the RXO Connect link on connect.rxo.com

Required Information

• Pickup address

• Delivery address

• Shipment Value

• Charter PO#

• Charter Line # (when applicable)

• Location Pick up number

• Pallet Count/Weight/Dims

• Shipment Freight Class

• Ready time / close time

• Charter requested arrival time

**All Pick up requests call/email should be made at least 24 hours prior to pick up to allow scheduling of equipment. Failure to do so may jeopardize your pick up**
 

Shipping Compliance 

• RXO Logistics is approved to schedule transportation for Charter Communications

• Unauthorized use of any other logistics provider will result in rejection of invoice and redirection to pick up location

• Vendors who change shipping locations long term must notify Charter of new location to avoid freight chargebacks

• Less than Truckload Shipments must meet one of the follow criteria:

  • Weigh over 150 lbs

  • Measure over 108” in length

  • Measure over 165” in length plus girth
     

• All freight is shipper load and count
   

Restrictions

• No shipment is accepted without a valid PO#, Contact your buyer if you do not have a valid PO#

• Vendor requests for expedited transportation are denied without Charter employee approval

• Unauthorized expedite charges will result in invoice rejection

Vendors must use the Bill of Lading provided by RXO Logistics

If freight is booked through RXO Logistics, DO NOT INCLUDE freight charges on your product invoice in SAP/ARIBA.

Detention Charges

Please note the allowable detention times below.  Any charges incurred by Charter as a result of repeated offenses can result in Charter seeking reimbursement.

Full Truckload (TL) 

• Free Time:
  • 2 hours at origin
  • 2 hours at destination
• When Charges Apply:
  Detention is assessed once free time has expired and the driver remains delayed at the facility.
• Billing Structure:
  • Billed in 15‑minute increments after free time
  • $20 per 15‑minute increment 
  • Maximum charge: $500 per stop

Less‑Than‑Truckload (LTL)

• Free Time:
  • Generally 30 minutes at pickup or delivery
• Billing Structure:
  • Detention charges apply once free time is exceeded
  • Charges are based on pallet count at the stop
