Welcome
Bell Routing Guides must be used when Bell is responsible for
paying the transportation provider directly OR for International
shipments where Bell is responsible for import clearance as
directed by Bell Purchase Order (PO) or Return Material
Authorization (RMA) Terms and Conditions.
Include Bell part numbers, Bell contact name, Return Material
Authorization (RMA) or Purchase Order (PO) number(s) on your
shipping documents. Shipments missing this information will be
delayed and may be returned to origin at customer/supplier
expense.
Free Carrier (FCA) is Bell’s standard Incoterm ® Rule on all
Bell PO’s and RMA’s unless legal has explicitly accepted and the
change is reflected in the orders.
Transportation:
-
Do NOT utilize “Prepaid and Add” when
using Bell Textron’s Routing Guides.
-
Every supplier or customer with a Bell
contract, PO, or RMA must ensure their domestic or global
shipping locations use this Routing Guide.
-
For Less-than-Truckload (LTL) or
Truckload
-
Shipping Collect, DO NOT complete the
Bill Charges To / 3rd Party section of the bill of
lading (BOL). Marking the BOL “Freight Collect” is
sufficient to ensure carrier invoices are charged to
Bell.
-
If a true 3rd Party shipment where
the shipper and consignee are not a Bell entity, you
must complete the Bill Charges To / 3rd Party section of
the BOL and mark the shipment as 3rd Party. In the Bill
Charges To / 3rd Party section provide the following:
(Insert the Bell location, Example - Bell Textron
Texas, Bell Textron Broussard, Bell Textron Piney Flats,
etc.) c/o USBank PO Box 3001 Naperville, IL 60566
Without this information, the freight charged to Bell
may be rejected back to you by the carrier for payment
due to unknown address as payer.
-
Any deviation from the specific routing
listed in this matrix for your shipping locations must be
authorized by Bell personnel on an emergency, shipment – by
– shipment basis.
US Imports:
-
FedEx
and JAS FORWARDING (USA) INC. are the only brokers authorized to
clear Bell imports. Please list JAS Forwarding as the
broker/notify party on all shipments sent via BDP or a
forwarder/carrier other than FedEx.
-
If shipping via
FedEx, the Broker Select Option (BSO) must be used for the
following situations, with JAS FORWARDING (USA) INC. Email:
US-BHTI-CHB@JAS.COM
listed
as the broker. International Priority and
International Priority Freight are the only FedEx PRIORITY
shipping methods that allow BSO; do not use International First
in these situations.
-
Parts being shipped to Bell for repair.
Make sure the RMA number is listed on the commercial
invoice.
-
Parts being returned to Bell after repair. Make sure the
commercial invoice clearly states the goods have been
repaired.
-
Parts being shipped under an ITAR license. FedEx will
not clear these shipments. Ensure the license number is
listed on the commercial invoice.
-
Parts being shipped to Bell for a USG contract (e.g., PO
listed a DPAS rating and/or Clause 44). The Commercial
Invoice must list Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
9808.00.30,
the Prime Contract Number,
and the following verbiage:
“UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
DEFENSE Duty-Free Entry to be claimed pursuant to Section
XXII, Chapter 98, Subchapter VIII, Item 9808.00.30 of the
Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States. Upon
arrival of shipment at the port of entry, District Director
of Customs, please release shipment under 19 CFR part 142
and notify JAS FORWARDING (USA) INC. (broker code D99) for
execution of Customs Form 7501. JAS will notify Defense
Contract Management Agency (DCMA) St. Louis , Duty Free
Entry Team, for execution of the duty-free entry
certificates.”
Sincerely,
Bell
Textron Inc.
