Cardinal Health is working to increase supplier awareness and compliance to our updated preferred inbound freight carriers and shipment modes.  These updates are a result of Cardinal Health’s Global Freight policy.

The Global Freight policy applies to all shipments in which Cardinal health is responsible for the payment of freight charges.  Key provisions of the policy include:

• Deferred shipping (ground or two-day air) becomes the default method across the company

• Priority shipping should be used on an infrequent basis when expedited shipping is necessary to ensure continuity of operations, if business or product quality needs dictate it, or if it provides the lowest total cost of doing business

• Only Cardinal Health preferred transportation and logistics providers will be utilized
